IRCHA, or the International Radio Controlled Helicopter Association, holds its annual fun-fly every year on the AMA grounds in Muncie, Indiana. Pilots from all over the country attend this event every year, with attendance surpassing 700 pilots annually. This year's event had a special international flair to it as the AMA grounds also played host to the FAI World Championships the week prior to IRCHA. Many of the World's competitors stayed over, leading to perhaps the largest attendance for IRCHA that the event has ever seen. We sent our cameras and crew to Muncie to capture the excitement and fervor of IRCHA 2009.
